Not Much Progress -- Potty-wise

I realize it has been a while since I last posted something. Truth is that I love this little video so much that I have been reluctant to post something ahead of it. And, there has been little progress on the potty front.

We get sporadic cooperation when it comes to the potty but mostly we encounter real objection. Given Beth's contrarian nature, we aren't pushing it. Daddy managed to get a "number 2" from her last weekend (to my complete amazement).

Her argument against the big-girl, small-girl thing has gotten more sophisticated. It tends to go something like this:

MOM: "Don't you want to be a BIG girl and use the potty?"
BETH: "No, I'm small. Elliott is BIG "(her emphasis)
MOM: "Don't you want a dry diaper. Wet diapers are icky."
BETH: "No, I like wet diaper. It's warm..."

Okay experts. How do I deal with that logic?

Jen,

It is Laura from Learning Through Sports! I wanted you to know that I have been keeping up with Ms. Beth and the family! The "I'm Small" video owns me to the n'th (sp?) degree. She is soooo precious!

I hope you don't mind, but I posted that on my blog. No one sees it but my friends and family. I will take it down immediately if not okay....www.theboofblog.blogspot.com.

My Mom got me a Nikon camera for Christmas so I started a blog to throw pictures out there. Tonight I just figured out how to post video and I wanted to share how sweet and awesome and funny Ms Beth is. You need to send that to "America's Funniest Home Videos". You would totally sweep and win 10 grand!

If not okay...let me know...but also know that I love your family and watching Beth grow....please don't give up the blog...I want to see her in high school and prom pics and everything....she is so awesome! And Elliot too! Those dimples...he is going to be a heartbreaker...good luck to you!

Love ya!

Laura

Hi there. Thank you so much for telling about your experience in the NICU. I've read it, and read it twice! I do not doubt that I will read it again. I also had an early little boy, at 26 weeks. He's still in the NICU at almost 31 weeks. He seems to be doing well, progressing at his own speed. If only he was able to eat as well as Beth did! He's slowly getting to eat, as his digestive tract allows him.

Speaking of Beth, ( she's such a doll) could it be her attitude about going potty could be all her own. An aquarian like myself, I can relate to that. www.astronet.com Aquarius check it out sometime.
Thanks again,
Angela
